The Önfelt lab is a part of the Cell Physics group at the Department of Applied Physics , the Royal

Prof. Björn Önfelt.

Institute of Technology, and part of the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology  at the Karolinska Institutet , as well as a part of the Advanced Light Microscopy group  at the Science for Life Laboratory in Stockholm, Sweden.

Our research focus on the immune system and in particular NK and T cells. The lab is multidisciplinary and combines biology and technology.

One of the immediate goals of our research is to implement new tools and single cell assays that can be used in academic research, hospitals or in pharmacological industry for immune cell diagnostics, applications within stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy.
