Bioimaging
The Bioimaging lab is equipped for both live and fixed cell observation, as well as imaging of various non-biological samples. The lab was started in 2003 after a generous funding from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation. The equipment includes:
- Zeiss LSM 510 Pascal - inverted confocal laser scanning microscope (LSM):
- two channels
- 488, 543, 633 nm lasers
- ZEN imaging software
- climate chamber (CO2 and temperature regulated)
- 10x – 63x objectives
- Refrigerator/freezer for storage of the samples
- Equipment for preparation and handling of solutions
Much more confocal microscopy equipment is avilable at the Biophysics site at the
Science for Life Laboratory
(SciLifeLab). Superresolution microscopy, including STED, SIM, PALM/STORM, is available at the
Advanced Light Microscopy
(ALM) facilities at SciLifeLab, which is a national facility, open for applicants from all over Sweden.
