About Carl von Linné
The Linné centers of excellence are named after Carl von Linné, a biologist, geologist, professor of medicine, educator and zoologist.
Carl von Linné is the “father” of modern taxonomy, became the President of Uppsala University, and was one of the founders of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Linné is one of the best known and influential Swedish researchers of all times.
