Title: Microsystems for the life sciences

Abstract: My research interests have moved from being purely focused on different aspects of micro fabrication, via development of microsystems for clinical applications to the development of organ-on-chip systems and miniaturized systems for single-cell analysis. I also have many years of experience with development of integrated mechanical sensors and electrochemical sensors.

In this presentation, I will show an overview of my research interests and most specifically focus on my current research activities here at Uppsala University where we combine integrated acoustics with droplet microfluidics for cell handling and try to build microsystems in soft biological materials.
